FBIA Statement on FDA Deputy Secretary Announcement: “The Food and Beverage Issue Alliance (FBIA) welcomes the appointment of Jim Jones as the Deputy Commissioner for Human Foods. FBIA appreciates the agency’s efforts to fill this critical role as FDA seeks to restructure its Human Foods Program. We believe Jones’ previous government experience as well as his critical input on FDA’s restructure through participation on the Reagan-Udall Foundation’s Independent Expert Panel will serve this position well, and we look forward to working with him after he joins the agency.”
